Happy Watercolors by Elaine Hays

Elaine Hays on Etsy

I've been painting professionally for over twenty years now. Landscapes are my favorite subject, and a lot of my work comes from memories of nostalgic days gone by... like my grandma's wash hanging out on the line, happy days spent on my aunt's farm, and driving along scenic country lanes in the Northeast where I grew up. But I enjoy painting a variety of other subjects as well... flowers (I'm an avid gardener) seascapes, still life, and wildlife.

Watercolors by Lee Pierce

Lee's Gallery

After spending most of my life living and working in New York, I escaped to the beauty of the Pacific Northwest. Lucky enough to be able to devote a great deal of time to my love of painting, I jumped right into watercolor. I’ve been painting for several years and have gone from small to large and back to small format work again. It all began because of limited space to hang my work and my background in dollhouse miniatures. I find the little things the most challenging and fun to create.

Art Instruction Videos by Lori Andrews

My name is Lori Andrews. I am primarily a self-taught artist, and am captivated by all aspects and varieties of art, but I prefer to work in watercolor, and tend to favor still life over most other subjects. After completing my Fashion Merchandising degree and attending Phoenix College for Commercial Art, I went on to receive numerous awards in juried shows, and am now a member of the Arizona Art Association, California's Motherlode Art Association and Escondido Art Assocation. I have sold many paintings through eBay, private auctions and have comissioned many paintings throughout the United States and through my web site. I offer private lessons to a select few people each year with each student receiving quality, one-on-one instruction.

Southwest Art by Barbara Ann Spencer Jump My home and studio are located in Chandler, Arizona. That's in the heart of the Sonoran Desert of the American Southwest. As you can imagine, I don't have to drive very far to find southwest subject matter for a painting.

Patrick Hedge's Wildlife Art

Patrick on MySpace

Patrick Hedges was born in Kampala, Uganda, in 1960 and lived for 14 years in and around East Africa. This early childhood instilled in him a love of wildlife and the outdoors. Most weekends were spent camping along the banks of his family's favourite river, or in some gamepark somewhere in the middle of nowhere. In 1990, he met a lovely young Australian called Gaynor, and they married in 1991 in Adelaide, South Australia, where they both still live with their two children, Brock and Carter. It seems like Patrick finally found his home.

Kathy Jurek Fine Art The ability to express myself artistically is a gift and a love. Making my subject come to life on paper and canvas gives me enjoyment and great satisfaction. When the work is going well, I lose all sense of time, and the image flows from my fingers. Often, I see a completed work and am amazed that I created it.
Mary Lewis Williamson Watercolor Artist Growing up in coastal Virginia and North Carolina, I was blessed with a lifelong connection to water in all of its manifestations. As I had been dabbling at art since childhood, it was fitting that a real commitment (when it came) was to watercolor--the most difficult medium. In 1990, having successfully raised three wonderful children and still enmeshed in a full-time career in property management, I took a watercolor book and some paints to my one week vacation on the Outer Banks and played around. What a mid-life epiphany!

Loredana Mariotto's Watercolors My name is Loredana and I'm an Italian watercolor artist. Before becoming a watercolorist I had a long inner process in understanding what I wanted to be and what I wanted to do in my life. In the end, 3 years ago I took up a brush and pounched it in a watercolor pan: I realized it was my way.

DEREK'S GALLERIES I love to paint commissions of subjects on this site. Do you have a favorite barn, lighthouse, flower, log cabin, or landscape scene you would like captured by a published artist? I am an artist and a US Army Infantry Soldier. Painting modern art watercolors and pen and ink drawings is my stress relief.
Artwork of Ken Gillam - artyman I have been a resident of Hampshire for all my life, and as I lived near the sea, and not excelling at other sports, I took up dinghy racing in my teens. Obviously my love of the sea means that marine and coastal subjects feature significantly in my work. I am also fortunate to have some beautiful English countryside nearby to inspire me, and I try to capture the magic of this in my landscape paintings
Jean Accola Fine Art A love of the natural world and it's rich source of inspiration has been the driving force behind Jean's paintings. She has been a watercolorist thoughout her professional painting career and has built a reputation for her artistic skill as well as her technical abilities.
